The 25th anniversary session of Camp Broadway Mainstage, Broadway's original destination for theater-loving kids, will take place in New York City on July 13-17, 2020, (8:30 am to 5:50 pm). This 5-day musical theatre camp is designed to teach children and teens (ages 10-17) to be creative, courageous and collaborative performers-on stage and off.

The program emphasizes the importance of the ensemble-that talented group of triple-threat performers who are the backbone of every Broadway musical. Camp Broadway is taught by experienced Broadway director/choreographers and music directors who lead campers through a rigorous rehearsal process to master songs and scenes from popular musicals. This year's theme is "New York, New York" and the shows will feature big city gamblers and fearless newsboys. The session culminates in the Family Finale Showcase at Symphony Space, one of New York City's premiere venues.

Campers receive 40-hours of training in ensemble singing, dancing and acting; a master class with a guest artist(s); a field trip to Times Square to see the Broadway production of Mrs. Doubtfire at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre; official t-shirts, a commemorative patch and other mementos. Healthy lunches, water and snacks are provided. Parents and friends also receive complimentary admission to the final performance at the culmination of the program.

Camp Broadway's motto is Develop Your Character. Character isn't just the role an actor plays on stage. By their final bow, Mainstage campers have gained confidence, honed their craft and learned that teamwork and respect for others are real talents necessary to be a Star Performer at every stage of life.

Proclaimed the "Camp of Dreams", Camp Broadway is recognized for its professionalism and expertise in teaching performance skills. The company is the recipient of a Special Drama Desk Award, for "introducing young people to the magic of theater and playing a crucial role in creating tomorrow's audiences for over 20 years".
