Description: Camp Northwood's primary mission is to create a sense of community and belonging for a population of socially isolated and immature learning challenged and high functioning autistic children. Camp Northwood's program of formalized social skill instruction, woven into the fabric of a traditional camp environment, enables campers to develop age appropriate social skills while enjoying the same types of activities experienced by more traditional populations of children at camps across the country.
