Description: Green River Outreach for Wilderness (GROW) Foundation is Wyoming's premier, federally recognized 501(c)3 Non Profit Summer Camp. GROW operates on a pristine 837 acre ranch comprised of rolling sagebrush steppe, grasslands and pine forests. The ranch is located at foothills of the Wind River Mountains outside of Boulder, Wyoming. The ranch adjoins federal lands which lead into the heart of the Wind River Range and the Bridger-Teton Wilderness area. Our scenic camp property lies just east of Pinedale Wyoming, and 100 miles South of Jackson Hole, Wy. We are an extremely small camp, with a maximum enrollment of 25 campers per week. This creates significantly more opportunities for one on one learning as well as lots and lots of individualized attention and supervision. Your child wont get lost in the mix, no matter how quiet and reserved. Furthermore, our small numbers allows us to do significantly more adventurous activities as a group. You won't find this in t he "bigger" camps! We are also a gender specific camp, meaning we offer programs for girls and boys, just not at the same time! Although is a more challenging program to operate, the results are well worth it. Having an all-girl or all-boy camp lends itself to more customizable programming and a deeper level of camaraderie, without the worry of embarrassment or needing to impress the other gender while in camp. We operate the first month of camp specifically for girls, and the second month specifically for boys. Contact us at the camp office if you need more information about specific dates, or have questions about our separate gender programs. Campers at the GROW Foundation will have the opportunity to explore new and wild places, while participating in safe, supervised and healthy challenges. Be it climbing a rock for the first time, riding your first horse, or completing the last mile of a backpacking trip into the Wind River Mountains; the personal growth, and self -confidence your child will gain is immeasurable! Here at GROW, we s
trive to be partners in the parenting process. We believe that a summer camp experience gives children significant advantages in the process of becoming young adults and on into adult life. If you have any questions about our camp, our program please feel free to contact us at the camp office. You can also visit our webpage
