YMCA Camp Weaver has been serving the community since 1955. Whether you are interested in our overnight camp, the ultimate camp adventure, our day camp, the perfect stepping stone or another camp experience we have a wonderful safe experience waiting for you. As a YMCA Camp, our core principles are youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our small camp community is located on an exceptional facility, intentionally designed for developing lifelong friendships and allowing staff to get to know every child as an individual. This unique opportunity to learn helps to achieve better results in school. Our staff enjoy helping your child accept responsibilities by learning how to laugh while making their bed, boosting self esteem by discovering new skills in camp activities, and building character - by living the camp motto "I Am Third" truly putting others before themselves. This may sound like a lot to accomplish, but you will be amazed at the la sting positive change camp will have on your child. In addition to being American Camp Association Accredited, we take additional steps to recruit and hire top-notch men and women who love to work with children of different ages. They are all thoroughly screened and trained to match our high standards. Our low staff to camper ratio gives our staff an opportunity to focus on the development of the individual child. Our specialty camps in horseback riding, skate boarding and leadership training provide an opportunity for campers who would like a more in depth skill building experience. Children in these camps spend half the day focusing on the specialty activity and the other half participating in other activities. Located in Greensboro NC, we are accessible from many areas. We are within driving distance of all major cities in NC. We also provide airport pick up at the Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) and the Raleigh Durham International Airport.
