Frost Valley YMCA

Frost Valley campers live in a special world where they experience journeys on every scale - from spending their first night away from home & bonding with new friends to bolder quests like mountain hikes. Our roots reach back to 1901, when we established one of the nation's first overnight camps for children. Over a century later, we remain true to the Y mission & our non-profit commitment to bring children of all backgrounds & abilities together in our enriching, life-changing community.

Camp Northwood

Camp Northwood's primary mission is to create a sense of community and belonging for a population of socially isolated and immature learning challenged and high functioning autistic children. Camp Northwood's program of formalized social skill instruction, woven into the fabric of a traditional camp environment, enables campers to develop age appropriate social skills while enjoying the same types of activities experienced by more traditional populations of children at camps across the country.

Camp Reece

Camp Reece is an overnight camp for Special Needs Children for ages 10 yrs. to 16 yrs. old. Camp Reece provides the ideal setting at Skidmore College to develop character and encourage social and emotional growth.

We offer a wide range of water sports at Reece, as well as, tennis, swimming and soccer, working with each camper to progress over the summer. Reece utilizes teaching that appeals to all levels, abilities and ages. With weekly trips, campers will participate in full day adventures in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Whitewater rafting, high ropes courses, biking and exciting area attractions including theme parks to mention a few.

Other activities include outdoor photography, animation, video as well as organic gardening, designed to get campers learning about the world through hands-on experiences.

Campers participate in activities of their choice that stretch the limits of what can be accomplished while having fun with friends, develop self-confidence that will enhance all aspects of their lives and serve them long after summer's end.

NOTE: 6 week rate is for a full session.
