Summer Adventure Day Camp

Our unique SUMMER ADVENTURE DAY CAMP for post kindergarteners and school-age children emphasizes fun, recreation, adventure, creativity, and learning. Our summer camp counselors focus on experiences that encourage children to form positive peer relationships by planning activities like swimming, sports, and popular field trips which enrich the weekly themes.

Hours

Camp hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, The beginning and ending days of camp are dependent on the Denver Public School schedule which varies each year. We close on July 4th or the week-end of the 4th in observance of Independence Day.  Registration forms are available January prior to the first day of camp.  Due to the popularity of the Summer Adventure Day Camp, you may call prior to January to reserve a membership for your camper and waive the registration fee as an early bird bonus!  Please call for further information at 303-757-3551

We are proud of the warmth, diversity, and experience of our camp counselors, all of whom have worked for us throughout the years. We have a low ratio of 1 counselor for every 10 campers. The counselors have backgrounds in education or in a related field. They are trained and experienced in understanding and meeting children’s developmental needs and have had training in CPR/1st Aid and Universal Precautions.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum recognizes that children who have completed kindergarten through the ages of 12 thrive on challenges, friendships, and responsibility. We provide children with opportunities to test their courage on our climbing wall, develop their creative skills in arts and crafts, experience weird science, hike in wilderness parks, play group games, explore music throughout the globe, and much more… activities which are planned to enrich the unique weekly themes. Campers are encouraged to participate in the planning of activities so that the programming will vary to match individual and group interests and cultural backgrounds.

Campers love taking field trips 2-3 times a week in our privately owned busses equipped with cell phones and driven by staff with current Commercial Driver’s Licenses. Observatory Park and Eisenhower swimming pool are just a short bus ride away. Some of our other favorite trips which enhance our weekly themes include ice-sledding, sunning at the reservoir, visiting parks, planning a big day at Pirate’s Cove, ice skating at DU, hiking through Lair O’ The Bear, and sipping tea at the Celestial Seasonings Tea Factory.

Your camp counselors have the motivation and experience to create the most successful camp environment in Denver. It was Erik and Emily’s best summer ever!”
