Join the Lady Bearcats and Head Coach Jimmy Petruska in summer 2024 at the Nike Girls Basketball Camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. This Pennsylvania girls camp is formatted to help fine-tune your shooting, footwork, and ball-handling skills to ultimately improve your mental toughness and confidence, all while having serious fun!
The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

Camp Director Jimmy Petruska
Jimmy Petruska begins his 12th season as the head women’s basketball coach at Saint Vincent in 2021-22, owning a career record of 202-78 during his time at the helm. Petruska helped guide the Bearcats to the PAC Championship and a National NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19, and his teams have appeared in five PAC Tournament title games. His teams have made it to the PAC Tournament Semifinals in every season since joining the conference as a full-time member.

All Campers Check-in: Sunday between 12pm-2pm
All Campers Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 12:30pm
Overnight Campers
Housing & Roommates
Campers will reside in the Saint Benedict Hall on campus. Campers will stay two per room and are assigned by age and roommate requests. If you have a roommate request and have not already given it to us, please do so as soon as possible. Roommate requests are not guaranteed, if you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

Supervision
The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are strictly prohibited and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
Swimming
There will be optional swim time on Sunday & Wednesday from 8:30pm-9:15pm for overnight campers. Please pack accordingly (bathing suit and pool towel).
Extended Day Campers
On the first day of camp, all extended day campers should arrive dressed and ready to play. Drop off and pick up locations will be given out at registration.
Sunday:
♦ Extended Day Campers stay until 9pm.
♦ Optional Swimming, pack accordingly.
♦ Dinner is provided.
Monday-Wednesday:
♦ Extended Day Camper Hours are 9am-9pm.
♦ Optional Swimming on Wednesday, pack accordingly.
♦ Lunch and dinner provided.
Thursday:
♦ Extended Day Camper Hours are 9am-1pm.
♦ Lunch is not provided.
♦ Check-out immediately follows closing ceremony.
Daily Schedule: SUN 12PM-9PM, MON-WED 9AM-9PM, THURS 9AM-1PM
Swimming
There will be optional swim time on Sunday & Wednesday from 8:30pm-9:15pm for extended day campers. Please pack accordingly (bathing suit and pool towel). Extended day campers are welcome to stay and swim or leave at 8:30pm.
BASKETBALLS
Nike Versa Tack Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Campers will train in the Robert S. Carey Center. The Carey Center is the home of Saint Vincent Basketball and Volleyball programs. First opened as Sportsman's Hall in 1952, the building was later renamed Kennedy Hall. An extensive reconstruction project took place in 2002-03, including the addition of a new wing for athletic offices, new locker rooms, weight room, gym floor, seating and more.
