• Paine's first season with the Warriors, 2018, was the program's most successful year as Jessup was one game away from a trip to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Jessup won a program-best 41 games, cracking the NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll for the first time in program history. The 2018 Warriors won the first GSAC Championship in school history and hosted the NAIA Baseball Regional Opening Round on their home field at McBean Park.
• Year one with Paine as Jessup's Head Coach saw the Warriors successfully defend their GSAC Championship, winning 39 games in the process. For the second consecutive season, the Warriors made an appearance in the NAIA Baseball Regional Opening Round, traveling to Miami, Florida this time. Anders Green and Joe Starick were named to the All-GSAC team in 2019, while Austin Swift won a Gold Glove. Paine was recognized as the GSAC Coach of the Year in response to the Warriors' season.
• The 2020 season ended early for the Warriors, as their bid to win three-consecutive GSAC regular-season championships ended halfway into the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jessup went 18-11 in the shortened year, including a four-game sweep over Corban University during the season's opening series.
• Returning to the field for a full season in year three under Paine, the Warriors finished with their fourth-consecutive winning record in 2021 (24-22). Jessup opened the year 7-0 before finally dropping their first game of the season. The Warriors set new records for most hits in a single game (24) and home runs in a single game (9) in 2021. Two Warriors, Kevin Jordan Jr. and Mike Shoenberger were named to the All-GSAC team, while Kawai Takemura was named Jessup's Cliff Hamlow Award recipient.
• Jessup returned to the postseason in 2022, earning the final spot in the GSAC Tournament. The Warriors then went on a run at OC Great Park, winning three-consecutive elimination games before falling in the GSAC Championship Round to Hope International. Jessup went 28-26 in 2022, securing a fifth straight winning season. Along the way, Paine recorded his 100th win with the Warriors on March 26. The 2022 club set a program record with 82 stolen bases.
• The Warriors saw their streak of winning seasons come to an end in 2023 as Jessup finished the year 18-22-1. Jessup made history when they tied OUAZ on February 25, the first tie in program history. Even with the losing record the Warriors remained competitive. Jessup entered the final series of the season with an opportunity to qualify for the postseason by sweeping TMU.

Assistant Coach Experience
The 2018 campaign was historical for the Warriors. As an assistant coach in his first year, Paine was an integral part that led to a record-breaking season for the Warriors capped by a GSAC Regular-Season Title, GSAC Championship trophy, and the program's first-ever NAIA Opening Round appearance hosted on their home field.

Working directly with the hitters and recruiting, Paine's line-up was ranked nationally in many categories. The Warriors led the nation in home runs per game (1.621), 6th overall in slugging percentage (.544), 7th in runs batted in (7.707), and top 20 in the country for total hits (649), total runs scored (474), batting average (.331) and total doubles (119).

Paine has been coaching baseball since 2014, beginning as the hitting coach for Southwest Minnesota State University from 2014 – 2016. Paine spent the 2017 season as an assistant coach for Menlo College before transitioning to Jessup along with former Jessup Head Coach Jake McKinley.

Personal
Hailing from the Warriors' hometown, Paine grew up in Rocklin and attended nearby Jesuit High School before playing collegiate baseball for the Sacramento State Hornets.

In his first season on the field for the Hornets, Paine earned First-Team All-WAC honors for his display at the plate, batting .381 with ten home runs and 44 runs batted in. In his final season, Paine hit a .308 and had a .997 fielding percentage between both first base and left field.

When he isn't at the ballpark, coaching, recruiting, or enjoying a game, Paine enjoys spending his off time with friends and family.

In his three seasons with the Warriors, Ragatz helped Jessup to two winning years, including the 2022 season that ended in the GSAC Tournament. The Warriors knocked two top-15 teams out of the conference tournament as part of a run that ended in extra innings of the championship round.

Ragatz is also the Pitching Coach of the Lincoln Potters, a role he took on before their 2022 summer season. In 2021, Ragatz served as the manager of the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox.

In his transition to baseball, Ragatz relinquishes the role of Athletic Coordinator which he earned in the summer of 2022. Ragatz played an integral part within the athletics department, assisting in recruiting, game day entertainment, and game management. His role saw him assist various teams in the recruiting of varsity and JV athletes. He also oversaw the coordination of Willy the Warrior, Jessup’s mascot, and various game day experiences such as the concession stand, sponsorship reads, and fan engagement.

Ragatz will still oversee the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

During his time at Jessup, Ragatz completed his Master’s Degree in 2021, earning his M. A. in Sports Management. Ragatz earned his B. S. in Sports Marketing and Administration from Northern State University in South Dakota.

It was at Northern State where Ragatz was introduced to current Jessup Associate Athletic Director Brandon Bowling. Ragatz has assisted Bowling here at Jessup in acquiring new partners/assisting current partners of the department.

At Northern State, Ragatz pitched on the baseball team. He also worked for the university as the Athletics Marketing and Operations Assistant.

Ragatz, originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, currently resides in Lincoln. He loves to fish and golf when not working.

Stevens joined the Jessup staff in 2020 as a volunteer, eventually coming on board as an assistant coach in 2021. His role grew into Associate Head Coach ahead of the 2022 season, a year in which the Warriors won a record 39 games, ending with the GSAC regular season and conference championships.

The 2022 Warriors hit .295 as a team and stole a program record 122 bases. Jessup’s season ended one game shy of a berth in the NAIA Softball World Series. During his tenure with Jessup Softball, the Warriors were ranked as high as No. 21 in the nation, the highest ranking in program history.

The 2024 season will see Stevens make his return to McBean Park, a place he has already cemented a reputation as manager of the Lincoln Potters. Stevens stepped away from his duties with the Potters at the end of the 2022 season, but during that time he coached numerous student-athletes who went on to be drafted in the MLB Draft. Under Stevens, the Potters set a new team record for wins in a season (37), along with a league record for the most home runs in a single season (68).

Stevens brings to Jessup an extensive coaching background at the collegiate level, as he served as an assistant coach for the baseball program at Sierra College from 2011 – 2016. With Sierra College, Stevens coached five All-Americans and 18 All-Big 8 Conference players.

During his tenure with the Wolverines, Sierra reached the playoffs in five consecutive seasons, including a trip to the Final Four in 2012 and an Elite Eight appearance the following year.

A local transplant from Del Campo High School in Sacramento, previous to his coaching career at Sierra College, Stevens played for the Wolverines and won a State Championship in 2008. The team was most recently inducted into the WAA Hall of Fame in 2020. He went on to finish his collegiate playing career at Sonoma State University.

Ryan and his wife Brittany currently reside in Rocklin, along with their three children.
