Jack & Jill is a special children's world.   It is a place where children learn to do things on their own and feel good about themselves. It is a place where each child is challenged in a manner in which he or she will succeed.  When your child attends JACK & JILL, he is the recipient of the high standards of care and respect for which JACK & JILL has become known.

All of the activities cater to and serve the needs of young children. The day is divided into twenty minute periods. The activities are tailored to the interests of young children and each period is exciting and special.

The children use the computers every day. The programs are age appropriate and are for learning and for fun. Each child may select the program of his/her choice.

The computer period is definitely a favorite.

 
We have a sports activity every morning and every afternoon. We offer bicycling, softball, sand play, basketball, croquet, nucomb, miniature golf, gymnastic. In addition we have a large, well equipped area for swinging, climbing, running, and just rolling in the grass.

The sports offered at JACK & JILL are played without any reference to winning or losing. We teach all our sports with the purpose of improving each child's skills.

In the summer we stay cool and wet. JACK & JILL has both water play and swimming. Our water play is unique to JACK & JILL. It is a Montessori activity where the children are given the responsibility of using a hose, filling a bucket and washing anything and everything. We wash tires and we wash bicycles and we wash dishes, and we wash clothing and we wash everything that children would love to wash at home if Mommy would let them!


At JACK & JILL we swim twice each day. All the children start in our one foot area and each child is tested. The children progress rapidly with the help of our expert swimming instructor, who is a Nassau County Certified Life Guard.

All children receive swimming lessons daily. Children progress according to their ability and all their achievements are acknowledged.


At JACK & JILL we have ARTS & CRAFTS daily. We have weekly projects and the things children bring home at the end of each week are very special because they represent hard work and concentration. Our projects are all properly geared to each age group so the things that are sent home are all child made.
