Adventures Cross-Country China

Adventures Cross-Country's China program focuses on service in rural areas as well as a section devoted to helping the Panda Breeding Project. In addition to our service work we explore Tibet & many of the landmarks that make China so special.

Explore dominant social, political and economic issues through hands-on volunteer and cultural activities. From the ancient to the modern, the rural to the urban, the palaces of Beijing to the markets of Hong Kong, our students will eat tons of great food, meet amazing people, and gain a deep understanding of Chinese culture.

Lifeworks - India

Service-learning travel programs for teens 14-19, combining community service projects with cultural exposure & outdoor adventure activities. Participants work in collaboration with established local, national & international service organizations. Lifeworks India focuses on the transplanted Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama. Learn about Tibetan culture, travel & explore India, & work w/ childcare & medical foundations to aid the community.

Lifeworks - Thailand

Service-learning travel programs for teens 14-19, combining community service projects with cultural exposure & outdoor adventure activities. Participants work in collaboration with established local, national & international service organizations. Focuses on humanitarian aid as students work with the underprivileged youth in the area, facilitating community programs such as education games & leadership development. Students also get a chance to visit famous temples, the Royal Palace, & the Golden Buddha.
