Girls Rock SB is a day camp where girls ages 7-17 explore the joys and challenges of collaborative music-making while guided by inspirational female mentors. In one week, campers form bands, write an original song and perform live at a music venue in Santa Barbara. Morning sessions consist of group instruction in the instrument each camper has been assigned for the week and a workshop. Workshops at camp may include designing and screen-printing camper band t-shirts, songwriting, self-defense, zine-making, image and identity, recording, media literacy, DJ-ing, Beat Boxing and more! Nike Softball Camps is proud to once again have Debbie Nelson directing camp in Santa Barbara. Nelson emphasizes hard work and the importance of being a team player. She provides each camper with new softball skills and the inspiration and self confidence to continue improving after camp. Camper will be housed in Tropicana Gardens and train daily at Elings Park multi-field softball complex. Director Debbie Nelson is recognized as one of the top private teaching instructors in the business and is the owner of All American Sports Academy in Tracy, CA. The Academy was established in 1997 and has trained over 400 all league, all conference and all star student athletes.
