Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California provides Summer Day Camp services, After School Programs and Psychological Treatment specifically designed to help kids, ages 6 to 18, with mild to moderate social, emotional, and/or behavioral difficulties. We are an innovative, evidence-based program that combines recreational activities, behavioral milieu, and group psychotherapy. Quest offers: - 3 to 7 week sessions - Individualized behavior plans - Group therapy, occupational therapy services - 6-to-1 camper to staff ratio - Parent meetings with home therapeutic goal development - Consistent positive interventions - Highly qualified clinical staff Activities and field trips are an important part of the Quest experience. Campers participate in fun, engaging adventures and field trips including: - Rock climbing - Soccer - Karate - Arts and crafts - High-ropes courses - Amusement park outings - The Discovery Science Center - Boomers - Legoland - Beach days - Camp out - and more! As a Special Needs Camp, Quest specializes in psychological treatment and interventions for children and young adults with difficulties such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD), High-functioning Autism (previously Asperger's), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, and more. Many kids come to Quest struggling to make friends and have difficulty handling frustration and conquering their fears. They leave with increased self-esteem and improved peer and family relationships; fears and frustrations are reduced, and behavioral problems become less prevalent in daily life. Some insurance policies may cover mental health services provided at Quest. Many are also successful at receiving tax benefits related to their payment of Quest fees as a medical expense. Discounts and scholarships may also be offered. Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is directed by Dr. Jodie Knott (CA Lic. #20647). Dr. Knott is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in psychological assessments, treatment, and child and family therapy.
