ISSOS The International Summer School of Scotland

ISSOS offers exclusive summer school programs to high school students (aged 13-18) giving them the opportunity to combine learning, creative enrichment and action-packed adventure. Our summer schools are located in one of three amazing, historic and picturesque university towns of St Andrews, Cambridge and Yale. Our three week program welcomes students from over 60 nationalities, and limits the number of students from one nationality to 10% in order to guarantee a truly international experience. ISSOS was founded to provide a well-balanced, supervised summer program to international students and expose them to the UK and USA as a place to travel and study.

ISSOS prides itself on offering students a safe summer experience while at the same time providing them with the freedom to grow and learn. Students who attend ISSOS choose one academic program which they follow in the mornings and one elective class, which they enjoy in the afternoons.

North Central Camp Cherith

Camp Cherith is a place where the love of Jesus is lived out. As a Christian camp we're deeply committed to teaching kids of all ages how to make Christ real in their lives - not just for a week at camp, but in every phase of life. Our counselors look for teachable moments to share their own joy in an authentic relationship with Christ. We approach each day with an upbeat attitude of praise and worship. With a weekly capacity of just 110 campers, we???re able to create a family-like atmosphere that fosters warm, caring relationships. We create an environment where campers are willing to take healthy risks and try new things.

Affiliations: North Central Camp Cherith is affiliated with Pioneer Clubs and associated with Christian Camping International. We are members of and accredited by the American Camping Association.

Camp Cherith's Christ-centered community creates an environment where many life-long friendships have gotten their start. Campers learn about God in an interdenominational setting through daily Bible exploration, dynamic campfire messages, and cabin devotions. And everyone participates in Morning Watch, a quiet time spent alone with God reading His Word and praying.

All campers experience the thrill of success through skill-building classes. Each camper chooses two activities for the week, which they participate in daily. Our goal is to help each camper either learn a new skill or improve an existing one.

Camp Cherith's multi-age format allows same- gender siblings to attend camp together. (Parents can also come to camp as valued volunteers.) Campers are placed in divisions based on grade level and are assigned to cabins within their division. They spend about half of each day with this group, but campers of different ages do interact during meal times, free time, and various camp activities. Our younger campers look up to the bigger kids and as a result bring out a kind, nurturing spirit in the older boys and girls.
