You will be safe, you will be challenged, and you will have fun when you attend Summer's Best Adventure at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp. Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp is a Christian summer camp located in Ohio's beautiful Mohican Forest. We are situated on a picturesque 250 acre property and an 850-acre lake. Our days are filled with engaging camp activities led by exceptional role models who are committed to helping your child grow socially, spiritually, and physically. We provide a safe, engaging and meaningful camp experience with enriching activities, fitness fun, social and emotional learning, and much more. Your child will enjoy a variety of activities every day with friends and peers, exploring math, science, reading, writing, arts, sports, nature and outdoor environment, and global diversity.
Our camp curriculum is structured to promote teamwork, enhance self-esteem and build skills while incorporating the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality.
Our camp program features an array of traditional, sports, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), and leadership camps. Join us for one or more weeks or all summer long. Full-day, half-day and extended day programs are available for campers ages 3-15. We offer programs in Garwood and Westfield. Financial assistance is available for Y memberships and programs.
Our staff receive over 20 hours of pre-camp training including certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid with EpiPen administration, asthma inhaler training, anti-bullying prevention, behavior management, child abuse awareness and much more. We also have a full time first responder on staff for summer camp.
We will comply with all CDC and Health Department guidelines to ensure the safety of your child at camp, including all COVID 19 guidelines which may be in place. All programs and program activities are subject to change based on CDC guidelines at time of camp.
