Since this is such a broad field, students are encouraged to pick the area they are most interested and have potential talents in. There is also a generalized type of film camp where each student can write, shoot, direct and edit his or her own movie.
Highlights: The major highlight of film camps is the production of a film where a child can participate as a director, writer or editor.
Kids Camps Tips: In a film camp, a child should be prepared to work with people. Filmmaking is not a solo endeavor, but always a group work. He or she should learn how to relate to and work with other people well. A participant should also be able to follow instructions carefully and to learn how to compromise with other people in the team to be able to resolve any issues or conflicts effectively.
Learning Skills: Apart from visual storytelling skills, film camps also seek to improve a participant’s communication skills, leadership skills and confidence. It also enhances the creative imagination while teaching technical aspects of movie production.
