Overview
Lacrosse and Leadership Campers will leave camp with better individual lacrosse skills - from stick skills to shooting to defending. Campers will also develop a greater understanding of teamwork, what being part of a team means, and how to be an effective leader and what they can do to help make their team better—all while having fun! The Lacrosse and Leadership camps was designed to give young athletes the opportunity to work hard and improve in a fun, positive atmosphere—we guarantee it!
The leadership curriculum is taught both on and off the field.. In these sessions campers will hear stories annecdotes and lessons about the importance of leadership within teams and organizations. They will hear examples of great leaders, and what qualites or actions that helped define them as leaders. From these stories campers will learn how to define leadership for themselves, and how to inspire and lead your teammates.
About Our Coaches
Brian Farrell is the current head lacrosse coach at the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, where he is also the assistant director of admissions. He has been the head coach at Boy’s Latin since 2014.
Prior to returning to his alma matter Boys’ Latin School as a coach he also spent time as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland, primarily working as a defensive specialist.
As a player, Brian was 3x All-American Defenseman at the University of Maryland. After ending his collegiate career, Brian played professionally in the MLL with Ohio Machine and Boston Cannons.
Bill Rexford, a member of the Oregon Lacrosse Hall of Fame, started the first boys team in the state of Oregon and coached Glencoe High School to the state championship in just his third year. In 1997, Bill started another program at Century high school and coached them to state playoffs in their second year. From 1999-2002 he took over the head coaching job at Rye Country Day School. During this time, he was named Fairchester Coach of the Year by his peers. It was then back to Oregon, this time the High Desert, where he started one more program in Sisters Or. Bill oversaw a k-12 program with 200+ participants while capturing 100+ wins. In 2014, Bill earned US Lacrosse Oregon "Man of the Year" award for the positive impact he had on countless athletes through the state of Oregon. In addition to this award, Bill was also honored with two additional accolades, the National "Spirit of Sport Award" and the "Coach of the Year" for the High Desert Lacrosse League and most recently inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame for the Oregon Chapter. Bill now resides in Redding, CT and heads up the Wooster School boys lacrosse program, which are Western New England Division III Champions for 2016 and 2017. He was inducted into the Staples Hall of Fame in 2022. When Bill is not coaching he is often found on the field at men's league games and tournaments playing the sport he loves, lacrosse!
David Shriver returned to the Hilltop as an assistant coach on the men's lacrosse staff in July of 2017. He previously spent six seasons at Penn State, including serving as the director of lacrosse operations for four years.
During the COVID-19 shortened campaign in 2020, Shriver helped guide goalie Owen McElroy to a dominant season in net. McElroy led the NCAA in goals-against average (6.21) and save percentage (.689). He posted a 6-0 record in goal and averaged 9.67 saves per game. He would go on to earn Inside Lacrosse First Team Media All-American recognition and was selected to the Tewaaraton Award Wacth List. As a team, the Hoyas led the NCAA in in scoring defense (6.33) and scoring margin (10.17) while allowing just one team to score more than 10 goals and holding opponents to under five goals three different times.
An integral part of Georgetown’s back-to-back BIG EAST Championships in 2018 and 2019, Shriver specialized in the development of Georgetown’s goalies. He oversaw senior Nick Marrocco produce one of the best campaigns between the pipes in program history in 2018, becoming just the seventh Hoya, and first since 2008, to collect First Team USILA All-America accolades. He was the first GU player to be named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year, was tabbed the Most Outstanding Player at the BIG EAST Championship and went on to a professional career with the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse, including an All-Star nod in 2019.
With the Nittany Lions, Shriver was instrumental with the team's offense by developing the extra-man unit and offensive personnel. Penn State reached the NCAA Tournament twice during his time in Happy Valley while posting 12-win seasons in both 2013 and 2017.
A former captain for the Blue & Gray, Shriver played in 28 games during his time in the Nation's Capital, primarily with the extra-man offense. He tallied seven goals during his tenure, including five in man-up situations. Georgetown won 32 games during his four seasons on the Hilltop.
Shriver earned his undergraduate degree from the College in 2011 and recently completed his master's in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies in 2020. He currently resides in Annapolis with his wife, Brooke.

This session is available for Boys between the ages of 10-16.

Check in on the first day will be at 3:00pm. Check out on the final day will occur at 11:00am, with closing ceremonies right before that. Parents are welcome to attend the final day scrimmages from 9:00 - 10:30am.
Campers will stay in the cabins that house roughly 10-16 campers each
