About this event

The program consists of 2-hour live events on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30-3:30pm EST. The remaining work (which consists of engaging video content, assignments and quizzes) can be completed on your own time.

Topics include but are not limited to: Introduction to artivism, Tools/methods for incorporating messaging in your art and better communicating your messaging to your audience, leveraging your artistic influence for the social benefit of marginalized groups, analysis of artistic activism in its various forms, online activism, tying your art to social issues in more tangible ways, measuring the effectiveness of your impact, and activism as a brand

Can anyone from any geographical location apply?

Yes! As long as you can commit to the two-hour live sessions on Monday, Wednesday’s and Fridays from 1:30-3:30pm EST, you can participate! The remaining work is completed on your own time.

What is the cost? And do I have to pay everything in advance?

No! You make a one-time payment of $200 or you can pay $125 by the start date of the program (August 3rd), and another $125 by the beginning of the second week August 10.

What platforms will be used for this program?

Live sessions will be hosted via Zoom. Course materials will be distributed via eventbrite, and the program also has its own Slack group where participants can collaborate on assignments and have discussions.

What’s the latest I can apply?

The deadline for registration is July 29th at midnight EST.

What kind of artists can apply?

Creatives of all backgrounds can apply whether they identify as visual artists, performing artists, creative writers, or anything in between.

Am I eligible for a refund after I’ve paid?

Refunds can only be requested prior to the start of the program.

What kinds of issues do participants learn to speak about?

The tools shared through this program can be applied to any topic of interest whether the participant is interested in racial justice, gender equality, environmental justice, body positivity, or something else entirely different!
