Washington 2024 Basketball Day Camp
NBC Camps return to Anacortes, Washington with a 3-day Complete Skills Junior Basketball Day Camp. The Camp is open to athletes in the upper elementary ages of 8-12. This camp is designed to help players improve in all areas of the game including ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, and more. NBC's goal is to help players get better and advance their skill level in a fun and encouraging environment to prepare them for their team or middle school basketball. NBC Camps focuses on training the total athlete with an emphasis on skill mastery, mental toughness, servant leadership, and personal faith. Camps combine Christian values with cutting-edge research on talent development, building confidence, and the importance of commitment. At Anacortes High School, NBC Camps offers a 3-day camp that is sure to get your young hoops enthusiast fired up for the game. We create a fun, energetic, and challenging camp setting that will motivate elementary and middle school players to take their game to new heights.

DAY CAMP INFORMATION
Daily Times for Day Camp: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (first-day check-in is 8:30 am)
What to Bring: a sack lunch (any snacks if necessary), a basketball labeled with name and inflated, a water bottle, and a completed medical release waiver (online)
CAMP DESCRIPTION
Complete Skills Junior Basketball Day Camp
These camps offer comprehensive skill training, motivation, leadership training, and more all within a 9 am to 3 pm time frame. We'll work on core fundamentals such as shooting, ball handling, passing, attack moves, and defense. These day camps are a perfect introduction for athletes into the NBC Camp program and offer a taste of NBC excellence at a pace and intensity more suitable for younger or more beginner athletes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this in your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

ABOUT THE CAMPUS
NBC Camps has been running day camps at Anacortes High School for the past several summers. The high school gym allows players to get tons of repetitions and to compete in a great basketball venue.
Enter Anacortes on Highway 20. Turn right onto Commercial Ave., Turn left on 17th ST, and continue West for 6 blocks., The gym entrance is in the back of the school.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your hard work to make the past three days so meaningful for all of these kids. Wednesday night when our son got home he told his mom all about "true north" -- last night when he got home he was outside in the grass working on his jab steps with no prompting. At dinner we sat down and I had him list all of the things he worked on this week, and he put together a little plan of things he can keep practicing. We talked about "nothing beats commitment" and "look up and live." I was so impressed with his ability to tell me about each thing that was covered this week, which is simply a reflection on you and your staff. You guys are really tremendous teachers. Your energy is infectious (I need to know what kind of coffee Coach Luke starts his day with). Your commitment to those kids and to teaching basketball and life skills was really, really cool to watch. NBC will be an annual event for us, and my wife and I are beyond grateful for each of you.
