The Complete Skills Day Camp at Life Pacific University is designed for the athlete who loves basketball or has the desire to learn in a day camp format. We will focus on teaching fundamental skills while providing a fun and encouraging summer camp setting. We want to help kids improve athletic coordination as well as build confidence and interest in the game of basketball. Come ready to learn and have lots of fun during these camps. These camps focus on skill mastery, mental toughness, goal setting, and the importance of leadership, family, and personal faith. BASKETBALL DAY CAMP INFORMATION

Daily Times for Day Camp: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (Director will provide exact drop-off and pick-up times - first-day check-in is 8:30 am)

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Complete Skills Basketball Day Camp focuses on the crucial keys for young or beginning athletes to become excellent at the game of basketball. The intensity, curriculum, and schedule are much more conducive for a younger athlete or those who want to learn more. We highly recommend this camp as a starting point for the younger players before coming to an overnight camp. We break our teaching into four focus areas: Individual offense, defense, shooting, and team skills. Campers are separated into teaching groups and teams based on their age and ability.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER

Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Bullying Policy- Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Three types of bullying include verbal, social, and physical. At NBC Camps, we will not tolerate bullying, and any reported incident will be investigated and taken seriously. Bullying behavior could result in immediate dismissal from camp.

International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program.
