Receive collegiate-style basketball training from Division 1 Cal Men's Basketball! Hosted at UC Berkeley's Haas Pavilion in summer 2024, you'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches and players in the NCAA. Offering a variety of summer camps, you'll be sure to find the best fit focused around your individual needs.
All Cal Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you choose a camp that fits your level of development. All events are subject to change based on NCAA and Covid-19 restrictions. Due to high demand and limited capacity, prices are subject to increase as camp exceeds 25%/50%/75% capacity.
Cal Basketball Camps feature sessions for players of all abilities and ages including Kids Camps and an Elite Camp. All camps take place on the UC Berkeley campus!

Head Coach Mark Madsen
Mark Madsen, a two-time NBA champion with East Bay roots and a proven track record as both a college and professional coach, was named the 19th head coach in California men’s basketball history on March 29, 2023. His first season with the Golden Bears will be in 2023-24.

KIDS CAMPS
Check-in Location: Haas Pavilion Entry 3 (East Lobby) at 8:30AM
Full Day Camp Hours: Monday-Thursday 9AM-4PM
Half Day Camp Hours: Monday-Thursday 9AM-1PM
Camp Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch or lunch money. A camp store will be open for pizza, snack, and drink purchases.
Designed for the beginner as well as the seasoned player, the Cal Bears Kids Camp will place emphasis on fundamentals, skill development, and proper technique. Camp will feature former and current Cal players as coaches who are eager to share their playing experiences and demonstrate the dedication necessary to improve and accelerate an enjoyment for the game of basketball. Campers will experience an assortment of drills designed to enhance: shooting, ball handling, footwork, communication, stance, and an overall understanding of the game.
ELITE CAMP
Check-in Location: Haas Pavilion Entry 3 (East Lobby) at 8:30AM
Camp Hours: Friday 9AM-3PM
The Cal Men’s Basketball Elite Camp is designed for those players wanting to achieve at the highest levels of basketball. The Elite Camp is a great way for boys looking to gain invaluable knowledge about what it takes to become an NCAA Division 1 Basketball Player. Each athlete will participate in daily competitions, skill development, and scrimmages.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
PACKING LIST
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Campers will utilize UC Berkeley's Haas Pavilion and the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) for basketball instruction. The newly renovated Walter A. Haas Jr. Pavilion is home to the University of California Golden Bears men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, and men's and women's gymnastics teams. The Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) is the University’s largest, most complete fitness center with over 100,000 square feet of activity space, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 3 weight rooms, seven basketball courts, seven racquetball/handball courts, six squash courts, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stairmasters, rowing machines and stationary bikes. Additionally, there is space reserved for volleyball, badminton, group exercise classes, martial arts, and table tennis.
