Camp Coaches

Camp Details

The term “peak performance” is defined as a state in which a person performs to their maximum ability. Swimmers who achieve peak performance in competition exhibit a high level of confidence, technical accuracy, and effortless execution. When asked why he decided to name his swim camp Peak Performance, Founder and Head Coach Nick Baker responded by saying: “It was the best way to convey the camps’ purpose. I wanted the swimming community to know that helping swimmers perform at peak levels was our top priority.”

2023 OVERVIEW
  • Dates: July 31-August 4
  • Age Group: 8-18
  • Gender: Coed
  • Camp Type: Overnight (Ages 11-18), Day (commuter)
  • Check-In: 7:30am outside the front gate entrance to Samuelson Pool.
  • Check-Out: 11:30am. Camp concludes with our special Finale Ceremony conducted at the camp pool facility at the Samuelson Aquatic Center.
  • Day Schedule: MON-THURS 8AM-3PM, FRI 8AM-NOON
  • Individual Medley Camp: For competitive swimmers ages 8-18. Our 5-day IM Camp covers the entire individual medley from the front start, the four strokes, the three IM turns, plus the ideal racing strategy. It’s the complete package! Training and racing in the IM is a wise choice as it develops all four strokes and makes swimmers more versatile and competitive. Most people think of Michael Phelps as the King of Butterfly, but he’s also the only swimmer in history to win the 200 IM in four consecutive Olympics.

Each day’s curriculum includes: four hours of intensive in-water training, purposeful teaching, motivational mind power workshops, dynamic dry-land training, and soothing yoga. The combined PEAK experience toughens swimmers mentally, boosts fitness and confidence, and improves essential swimming skills. Learn from the PEAK pros and get the winning edge!

12 & OVER CAMP: For competitive swimmers ages 12-18. The 12 & Over Camp is our most challenging training level and builds throughout the week in both intensity and expectation. State-of-the-art skill progressions are combined with challenging swim sets, and swimmers are tested during the week to maintain their newly acquired skills. Swimmers are assigned to lanes based on their current skill and performance level.

11 & UNDER CAMP: For competitive swimmers ages 8-11. The 11 & Under Camp is our lead-up training level to the 12 & OVER CAMP. While both camps follow the same format, the skill progressions and challenging swim sets are adjusted for younger swimmers. Swimmers are assigned to lanes based on their current skill and performance level.

Note: This is NOT a learn-to-swim program, but specifically designed for competitive swimmers who can perform multiple lengths of all four strokes and the official starts and turns.
