Camp Chinqueka is a traditional, all girl summer camp for campers ages 7-16. Situated on the Mount Tom Pond, in Bantam, CT, Chinqueka is surrounded with natural beauty, making it an amazing opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while making memories with friends that last a lifetime!
At Chinqueka, we pride ourselves on the variety of activities that are available for our campers to try. We have a range of indoor and outdoor facilities, such as Go-Karts, High Ropes, Swimming, Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Music, Drama, Gymnastics, and so much more! We also host several special events throughout the summer, including dance competitions, discos, team games, senior trips along the East Coast, and joint events with our brother camp, Camp Awosting.
Days at Chinqueka blend the classic camp experiences with a modern program that encompasses a wide range of exciting activities, character development opportunities, discoveries that encourage skill-building, and the foundation of lifelong friendships. Our activities are tailored to suit age, experience and skill levels to ensure comprehensive fun for all.
We search the globe to find smart, kind, passionate staff to serve as excellent role models for our campers. Our caring and motivated team are an outstanding example of Chinqueka's values; Sisterhood, Empowerment, Kindness, and Growth! Our counselors include education majors and sports coaches who are all dedicated to teaching and leading the campers by example.
Since 1955, girls from around the world have made Chinqueka their summer home. We have 70+ summers of history, spirit, and traditions that we share with all our new campers. Camp Chinqueka is based on the foundations of empowering girls with life lessons through shared experiences, a prime example of our philosophy of "Where Girls Learn Together, Making Friends Forever".
