Extreme Military Challenge! (XMC) is for young people ages 13-18 who are motivated to experience what a military environment is like and who want to see if they have what it takes to succeed.
We operate on the beautiful location of Camp Liberty (Camp-Liberty.com) in Battleground, Alabama.
We are a program for good kids, so please keep that in mind. We are also the program with the best cost/experience ratio available, and we aren't a summer camp that is only intended to get the attendees to enroll into a military high school like most similar programs are.
Our mission is to give young people the chance to have amazing experiences to include rappelling, marksmanship training and field survival without being pressured into something more. Attending our program gives young people a chance to test themselves and to prepare for their future. We do not push our cadets to go into the military, we simply provide to them the highest caliber of training and experience to give them the ability to make an informed choice on whether the military is right for them.
Please visit our website for more information and for enrollment information.
THIS PROGRAM IS NOT FOR DELINQUENTS OR AT-RISK YOUTH.
Cadet Basic Training (two weeks)
Cadet Basic Training (CBT) is a two-week, high-adventure, introduction to military life. You will train, sweat and find your inner-strength with other young people from around the world.
Recruits are led by seasoned Drill Sergeants, officers and NCOs who instill a high level of personal pride, self-discipline and internal confidence in each recruit.
This is an excellent opportunity to experience the military lifestyle as a primer for the possibility of future military service or attendance at a Service Academy.
Highlights of CBT include marksmanship training, rappelling, taking on a confidence course, with a full Graduation Ceremony as the final event.
Cadet Field Leader Course (two weeks)
Success in the military, academic or corporate environment is largely based on teamwork and communication skills. These are the fundamental traits of any good leader.
The Cadet Field Leader Course (CFLC) is a two-week basic leadership program, based on the Army's Warrior Leader Course. Cadets are exposed to leadership traits and principles, while also working to develop an awareness of how they fit into a team.
This is a heavily field-based program, with teamwork exhibited in a fire team, squad and platoon environment.
Cadet Basic Training and Cadet Field Leader Combined Course (four weeks)
The Army trains Soldiers based on the philosophy of CRAWL- WALK - RUN. In order to run, you must know how to walk. To walk, you must have learned to crawl.
Cadets learn to "Crawl" in Cadet Basic Training. The basic skills and experiences are built upon through the Cadet Field Leader Course where it's time to "Walk." Most learn best when the two courses are attended back-to-back, for a total of four weeks.
Approximately 70% of our Cadets will attend this option. Recommended for age 15+
Cadet Recon Course (four weeks)
There are those who have no choice but to push themselves harder, longer and further than those around them. The Cadet Recon Course (CRC) is meant for those hard-chargers.
The four-week CRC is the toughest and most intense of our programs. This training is reserved for young men and women, age 16 and older, who are driven to excel within a military training environment. Cadets and Explorers of other military style programs, who have completed a 10-day or longer recruit training program, may apply to attend.
