About Connecticut Motorsport Camps and Programs
If your child loves the roar of an engine and if speed is their only thrill, then perhaps a motorsport camp is the perfect choice of summer camp for them. Motorsport camps combine the thrill of riding various vehicles such as dune buggies, go-karts, motorcycles, dirt bikes and more, while teaching proper handling, maintenance and riding skills to ensure that they'll be able to safely operate any number of motorized vehicles. Campers are typically put onto teams based largely on skill and experience, and allowed to rotate through the motorsport program, giving them an opportunity to experience each kind of vehicle. These camps typically include a variety of other sports and activities to supplement the time the kids are not busy with the motorsports.
What to Ask the Camp Director: Each camp will offer a different variety of motorized sports. Be sure to enquire ahead of time in case your child has a favorite.
Equipment to Bring: Your child should pack any personalized protective clothing they may have such as helmets, goggles, gloves and padded clothing.
Highlights: Motorsport camps typically culminate with a derby or race event, allowing the campers to go head to head showing their newly learned skills in timed events.
