About Girls' Dance Camps and Programs
If your child can't seem to keep still and just wants to get up and shake her stuff, perhaps she's ready for dance camp. These types of camps teach a range of techniques, such as hip hop or ballet. Summer dance camps can be intense, as they can last a week or more at a time. Dance instruction by qualified teachers, coupled with fun side activities, can help students learn the technical aspects of dance and also social development. Parents can choose from co-ed camps or same-gender camps, with each one targeted toward different age groups. Concentrations vary from modern dance and hip hop to tap and jazz. Private or group classes are available, depending on the type of summer dance camp.
