About U.S.A. Csi Camps and Programs

CSI camp aims to develop your child's interest in forensic science. By using investigative techniques and scientific methods, your child will learn how to solve the mysteries behind crime scenes. In general, CSI camps focus on evidence collection such as fingerprints, shoe and tire impressions, and trace evidence. Your child may also learn forensic geology and the use of insects and plants. Participants may be introduced to various topics related to forensic science like DNA analysis, blood spatter analysis, firearms and ballistics, autopsy and profiling. CSI camp may be offered during summer and runs from one to several days. It caters to different age groups, usually for students in grades seven through nine.

Highlights: At the end of the camp program, your child may be given the opportunity to solve crime puzzles using the skills they have acquired from the camp. To help solve crime puzzles, your child may be provided with equipment that is used in real crime scene investigations.

KidsCamps Tip: Parents should choose forensic science camps that will allow the students to work with real crime scene investigation equipment.

Special Counselor Considerations: It is advisable that parents choose CSI camps that have trainers who are certified experts in different disciplines of criminal justice or forensic science.
