Summer Horse Camps for Kids and Teens at a Price You Can Afford

Send your child to savor summer in Vermont at our friendly, individualized, horseback riding camp. We emphasize not just riding, but building a holistic relationship with each horse. Our horse camps also encourage personal growth for each camper. Learning new skills and connecting with people and animals builds self esteem, and for many of our students horsemanship becomes a driving interest for many years. We limit the number of campers to preserve this individualized approach.

Day Camp

Enjoy all aspects of horsemanship; ride twice a day, learn stable management, horse nutrition and herd horse behavior, do arts and crafts, go swimming. Serving Bennington, Arlington, Manchester etc.

Overnight Camp

Come to our friendly individualized horse camp. Ride twice a day, build relationships with horses and people, personal camper growth, team participation and a precision riding show.

Killooleet Camp

Camp Killooleet is a summer camp for boys and girls ages 9 - 14, is nestled into a beautiful corner of the Green Mountain National Forest in Hancock, Vermont. For over 70 years it has been owned and run by educators who know and listen to children. We build a supportive community with a balance of sports and arts activities.

Killooleet is a 'traditional camp' (varied activities, full season, weekly hikes and two overnight trips) that goes its own way in a non-traditional manner. The directors state, 'We want every camper to find activities they particularly enjoy and specialize in them. A child works hardest in areas he/she delights in. Camp is geared so that the artist can still play on a softball team and the avid basketball player can still ride horses or have the lead in a dramatic production. Camp is non-competitive and highly individual. Strong cabin groups are built through working and playing together. Trust is extended and minimal defenses are needed. Vitality explodes. Almost all campers return until they're too old to return. This is their second family, where they find themselves.
