Nike Dance Camp at Old Dominion University

Join us for a fun filled week at the Nike Dance Camp at Old Dominion University! Designed for boys and girls ages 8-17, this camp offers an opportunity to enhance creativity, dance skills, and a passion for movement. Led by Camp Director Myaja Watson, an ODU alumna, and her team of former ODU dance team members, dancers will receive expert instruction in a variety of styles, including hip hop, ballet, jazz, modern, and more!This camp also includes valuable audition preparation, helping dancers build confidence, refine their technique, and grow as performers. Whether you're exploring new styles or looking to elevate your dance abilities, this camp is perfect for dancers of all levels.Throughout the week, participants will learn and practice choreography, culminating in a special end-of-camp performance to showcase their hard work and progress!

If your child can't seem to keep still and just wants to get up and shake her stuff, perhaps she's ready for dance camp. These types of camps teach a range of techniques, such as hip hop or ballet. Summer dance camps can be intense, as they can last a week or more at a time. Dance instruction by qualified teachers, coupled with fun side activities, can help students learn the technical aspects of dance and also social development.
