Hollywood Stunts is a thrilling exercise in overcoming fears! Campers learn how to do stunts from experienced instructors and discover what it's like to be a world-class action hero. Swords, combat, falls and choreography are part of the mix. Safety first! Experienced instructors provide personalized coaching and close supervision for all stunts. Behind the scenes, campers use professional grade props, mats and safety equipment. After five days of mastering stunt techniques, campers surprise their fellow campers with special stunt performances.

It's time to wander into the great blue yonder! In Pali's aviation specialty, campers learn the basics of aviation with hands-on activities. Campers develop an understanding of aerodynamics then build and launch a rocket. They handle our quadrotor drones for a birdseye view of Pali. With our VR flight simulator, campers practice takeoffs and landings under different conditions. Campers exercise problem-solving and critical thinking skills all week. The capper of the week? Welcome to St. Michael's Summer Camps! We have two branches of camps, both located on the scenic campus of St. Michael's Country Day School, in historic Newport, Rhode Island. Campers will enjoy our beautiful seven-acre seaside campus overlooking one of Newport's famous beaches, and have complete access to the school's facilities, including classrooms, a new library, large art studios, state-of-the-art science labs, a fully equipped theatre, a computer lab, playgrounds and playing fields. In addition, we have a beautiful outdoor swimming pool on the grounds, and all campers get swim time as a refreshing break at the end of a productive day in the theatre. A certified lifeguard is on duty at all times. St. Michael's Summer Fun Camp - Summer fun for ages 3 - 14, choose from seven- week long sessions beginning June 26th including Sports, weekly themed Adventure Camps (3 - 5 yrs and 6- 12 yrs) and Enrichment Camps with themes like Chess, Lego Robotics, Creative Movement, Math Madness, and much more... Campers get daily dips in the pool. Adventure programs include crafts and story time, all with professional caring instructors and enthusiastic assistants. Half and full day programs available. Theatre at St. Michael's Camp - We invite young performing artists to come together with our talented staff for an amazing summer of theatre! TASM uses each individual's talents to create, rehearse, and produce a unique theatrical event. These events include an original movie screened at the Jane Pickens Theater, an original musical written by the campers and given a world-premiere performance, and a pair of Shakespearean plays. Campers are involved in all aspects of the production, both onstage and off, developing existing theatre talents (although no previous experience is necessary), learning new skills, and making lifelong friends along the way. Our sessions this summer include the Original Movie Production (June 26 - July 7), Original Musical Production (July 10 - July 29) and Shakespeare Camp "As You Like It" (July 31 - August 12), all for ages 9-15, as well as our Teen Shakespeare Intensive "King Lear" (July 3 - 15), for ages 14-18. TASM also offers a popular tech program for those young thespians who would rather be behind the scenes - they will learn proper use of tools and equipment so they can help with the design and creation of the set, props, costumes, and also run sound, lights, and special effects during rehearsals and performances. About Acting Camps and Programs
Does your child or teen want to shine on the screen or the stage? Acting camps offer a nurturing, safe environment where campers can get creative, build confidence, and have fun learning the art of performance. Aspiring actors and actresses of all levels will develop their artistic and personal skills via games, activities, and rehearsals at these camps.
Campers gain confidence in their ability to express themselves, articulate their thoughts clearly, and embrace their individuality via performing in front of others. Creativity, improvisation, and public speaking are also abilities that help children in the arts as well as in future job interviews, school presentations, and social situations. Acting camps teach to connect with an audience, read emotions, and project their voice through acting.
Acting camps also promote empathy and teamwork. Campers learn how to cooperate, listen to one another, and encourage their fellow actors because film and theater are collaborative art forms. Kids and teens of all ages get to step into the shoes of diverse, interesting characters, which builds empathy, tolerance, and understanding of various personalities and viewpoints. Every step of the process, from scene work to entire performances, teaches kids how to celebrate each other's accomplishments and make valuable contributions to a group.
Acting camps are a great choice for parents who want to provide their kids a camp experience that combines creativity, personal development, and enjoyment. The majority of camps end with a showcase or live performance where children can proudly share what they learned.
