At the Santa Barbara Lacrosse Camp, our skill & lacrosse IQ development camps are for beginner, intermediate and advanced groups. The emphasis of camp are for developing skills and an understanding of strategies with small games and full field scrimmages. Campers are separated by age and experience level so all abilities are accommodated. The Santa Barbara Lacrosse Camp will be held on the beautiful campus of the Cate School in 2022, located in Carpinteria, CA. The campus sits 11 miles from Santa Barbara and is just an hour and a half north of Los Angeles and a five hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area. This NIKE Lacrosse Camp, located on the beautiful campus of the University of San Diego, is just minutes from downtown San Diego. Great weather, staff, and the beautiful USD campus make this camp location a favorite for many young athletes. Participating campers dine daily at USD's gourmet cafeteria and have access to the University Pool and many other campus training amenities. At the Nike Girls Lacrosse Camp at the University of San Diego, our goal is to bring out the very best in every lacrosse player we coach. Get ready for a week of focused, intensive training sessions lead by San Diego Lacrosse Hall of Fame Coach, Courtney Reidarson, and her coaching staff. Instruction takes place each day at USD's Valley Turf field, while overnight campers reside in dorms right on campus.
About California Day Camps and Programs
Day camp offers youngsters a chance to participate in a wide variety of sports and activities. Summer day camps are also ideal for younger campers who are perhaps not yet ready for an overnight camp experience. If your child likes to stay busy with a variety of different sports, crafts and other activities, this may be your best camp choice. Some day camps require you to drop off and pick up your child, while others provide transportation from central locations. Some camps provide lunches and snacks, and others do not. The kinds of sports and activities will vary from camp to camp, so be sure to inquire ahead of time about the kinds of activities that will be offered to your child.
Highlights: Day camps offer the widest variety of sports and activities, though some do specialize. The camp day is typically shorter for children, making it perfect for younger kids.
Learning Skills: Day camps offer children an introduction to the camping experience. They will learn new sports and crafts, and will learn good sportsmanship from playing on teams and working with their peers. In addition, they'll gain an added sense of independence from the experience.
Levels of Expertise: Camps such as these are often geared to first time or beginner campers, though some day camps offer advanced programs.
