Even if campers don't know a button from a bobby pin, they enjoy the whole journey of making an outfit. Campers learn from concept to design to the finished product. Campers use mood boards, sketches, patterns and more to design their own clothing lines and bring their visions to life. Then, Pali's fashionistas strut their stuff and debut their designs on the catwalk at the popular Pali Showcase!
About Rollerblading Camps and Programs
At rollerblading camp, children will learn inline skating, a low-impact sport that's also good aerobic exercise. The sport works major muscle groups, teaches balance and improves self esteem, while making it more fun. It also helps develop friendships and a sense of community among its participants. Camps are usually held in skating rinks, with some providing skate tours at nearby trails. This type of camp is open for skaters of all ages, with the instruction matching the participant's skill level. Apart from the standard instruction, participants also get the opportunity to play fun skating games. As in all sports camps, safety is a concern in rollerblading camps, so campers will be also taught safety procedures and the proper way to gear up, stand up and avoid falling down.
Levels of Expertise: Most rollerblading camps accept skaters of all levels. Beginners will learn the basics of skating, like stopping and turning properly, while more experienced skaters will learn tricks such as vertical jumps, 180s and 360s, and skating on ramps or obstacle courses.
Equipment to Bring: It is customary for the campers to bring their own equipment, including skates and safety gear like helmets, wrist guards and knee pads. However, some camps have equipment available for rent.
