Summer Camp - Registration opens in January - Spend part of your summer at The Second City working out your creative muscles in our improvisation and comedy writing camps for ages 11-18. You'll learn new skills, meet new friends and experience why Chicago is the comedy capital of the world firsthand. Students are grouped by age and camps are held at The Second City Training Centers in Chicago, Hollywood, and Toronto. Programs and schedules vary by location. Pali Adventures is a one-of-a-kind overnight summer camp. Kids choose a morning specialty and all of their own afternoon activities to design a personalized adventure. We are one camp, but while campers are here they explore different interests. We are proud to offer Fine arts and Street art and 29 amazing specialties - from Motorsports to Flying Trapeze - and everything in between. Our campers follow their dreams, try incredible new things and gain lifelong friends in a safe and supportive environment. It's time to wander into the great blue yonder! In Pali's aviation specialty, campers learn the basics of aviation with hands-on activities. Campers develop an understanding of aerodynamics then build and launch a rocket. They handle our quadrotor drones for a birdseye view of Pali. With our VR flight simulator, campers practice takeoffs and landings under different conditions. Campers exercise problem-solving and critical thinking skills all week. The capper of the week? A real flight above the beautiful San Bernardino mountains with a qualified pilot-instructor!

Even if campers don't know a button from a bobby pin, they enjoy the whole journey of making an outfit. Campers learn from concept to design to the finished product. Campers use mood boards, sketches, patterns and more to design their own clothing lines and bring their visions to life. Then, Pali's fashionistas strut their stuff and debut their designs on the catwalk at the popular Pali Showcase!

This is the perfect specialty for active campers who enjoy the sillier side of sports and just want to have a blast trying new things! Each day, campers will participate in a variety of active and enjoyable games and activities. All a little different from what campers might expect. They learn the fine art of stealing bases during slip 'n' slide baseball, challenge their balance with a log roll, become a hero when they capture the flag, and much more. Our Wacky Sports coaches inspire good sportsmanship, character building and creativity as campers revel in the fun of learning new skills, making new friends and having a blast!

About U.S.A. Other Art Camps and Programs
Unlike traditional art programs that focus solely on painting or drawing, the camps listed in our other arts camps category will introduce children to unconventional materials like coffee, sand, ice, beads, rocks, and more. Other arts camps offer a truly unique and enriching experience for creative kids and teens who thrive on thinking outside the box. Many programs teach kids how to turn everyday objects into inspiring works of art. Each camp will provide a unique approach that encourages creativity, experimentation, and a deeper appreciation for the artistic process. Take a look at what this other arts camps have to offer!
These camps are led by seasoned art teachers who double as camp counselors, fostering a supportive and instructive atmosphere where children may pick up skills while having a good time. Campers can learn visual art, sculpture, or installation art. Some camps offer performance-based arts like theater, dance, or Broadway-inspired shows through workshops and supervised projects. For these other arts camps, exploration and self-expression are prioritized.
The way that adventure and environment are incorporated into the creative process is what further distinguishes these camps. In some camps, kids and teens will be encouraged to find inspiration through outdoor activities or nature. Children have the opportunity to connect with their peers and their surroundings through these experiences, which frequently result in creative artwork inspired by nature.
Many other arts camps end with a concluding event, such an exhibition, performance, or recital. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the work and creations from individual campers.
