Camp Dovewood: One of the best Horseback riding camps for girls in North Florida, with English and Western riding instruction, horse shows, trail rides, grooming and stable management. Dovewood is an interdenominational Christian camp for girls 7-17 with 24 additional fun-filled activities for girls to select. Using special techniques taught by professional makeup artists, campers learn the art of transforming each other into Hollywood-worthy characters, fairy princesses, wild animals, ghosts or zombies. It's time to wander into the great blue yonder! In Pali's aviation specialty, campers learn the basics of aviation with hands-on activities. Campers develop an understanding of aerodynamics then build and launch a rocket. They handle our quadrotor drones for a birdseye view of Pali. With our VR flight simulator, campers practice takeoffs and landings under different conditions. Campers exercise problem-solving and critical thinking skills all week. The capper of the week? A real flight above the beautiful San Bernardino mountains with a qualified pilot-instructor!

Even if campers don't know a button from a bobby pin, they enjoy the whole journey of making an outfit. Campers learn from concept to design to the finished product. Campers use mood boards, sketches, patterns and more to design their own clothing lines and bring their visions to life. Then, Pali's fashionistas strut their stuff and debut their designs on the catwalk at the popular Pali Showcase!

We provide a safe, engaging and meaningful camp experience with enriching activities, fitness fun, social and emotional learning, and much more. Your child will enjoy a variety of activities every day with friends and peers, exploring math, science, reading, writing, arts, sports, nature and outdoor environment, and global diversity. Our camp curriculum is structured to promote teamwork, enhance self-esteem and build skills while incorporating the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality. Our camp program features an array of traditional, sports, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), and leadership camps. Join us for one or more weeks or all summer long. Full-day, half-day and extended day programs are available for campers ages 3-15. We offer programs in Garwood and Westfield. Financial assistance is available for Y memberships and programs. Our staff receive over 20 hours of pre-camp training including certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid with EpiPen administration, asthma inhaler training, anti-bullying prevention, behavior management, child abuse awareness and much more. We also have a full time first responder on staff for summer camp. We will comply with all CDC and Health Department guidelines to ensure the safety of your child at camp, including all COVID 19 guidelines which may be in place. About Leadership Camps and Programs
A leadership camp is a program designed to harness the knowledge and skills of participants on responsible leadership. This camp is composed of a series of workshops that will develop the students' critical thinking, problem-solving skills, communication skills and financial planning, among other topics. It also imparts techniques on aspects like conflict resolution, effective meetings and cause lobbying. The goal of this camp is to empower participants in such a way that they will want to become leaders and be good at this job.
Highlights: One of the best features of this type of camp is the hands-on and individualized training that students will get. Aside from lectures and seminars, they also get to work on group projects that will allow them to practice what they have learned so far from the camp. Some leadership camps have renowned political or business leaders as guest speakers to motivate the students.
Learning Skills: Campers will learn various skills on governance such as how to direct people, how to achieve success and how to resolve conflicts. This camp seeks to build up the confidence of a person, something that all leaders should possess.
Academic Benefits: The primary academic benefit of this camp is that it makes it easier for a child to be a leader in the class. Skills that he would learn from this camp can be used for group and class projects, and any other work that requires teamwork and teambuilding.
