Hands on Skill Development for Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs 11-15:

Aspiring young entrepreneurs 11-15 learn the skills necessary to solve business problems and defend their solution to executives and investors at the Biz Plan and Product Design Challenge Competitions held at Microsoft Silicon Valley.

At Camp BizSmart learn the secrets of Apple CEO Steve Jobs and successful entrepreneurs at Google,Cisco, Hara, and Better World Books. Attend the world's only summer academy for "Tweenpreneurs" age 11-15. Learn how to invent cool new products & market your ideas. Have fun and build your "BizSmarts." Learn about the amazing success story of Camp BizSmart faculty member & Inc Magazine "Entrepreneur of the Year," Kevin Surace, CEO of Serious Materials. Kevin knows about getting things done, and last year sponsored a challenging Camp BizSmart team project.

Take on an executive role within your team as your team prepares to win the business plan competition. Competition judges, themselves successful investors and inventors, select the first place team from each session and then the grand finale champion for the year. The top team attends and is recognized at the Keiretsu Forum's Angel Capital Expo.

Students at Camp BizSmart practice and learn business success skills like collaborative teamwork, leadership, brainstorming & innovative thinking, financial analysis & product design.

Camp BizSmart advisor and Managing Partner at Garage Technology Ventures, Bill Reichert says: "Only an entrepreneurial approach - flexible, scrappy, collaborative, & unafraid of risk and failure will succeed in this new world. We owe it to our children to help them develop these skills & attitudes with programs like Camp BizSmart." Bill should know, his venture firm has invested in such Silicon Valley success stories like Kaboodle and Pandora. Founders, Peggy Gibbs & Dr. Michael Gibbs like to say they designed CampBizSmart to prepare:

Workshops to Develop Essential Skills for Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs 16-19:

Aspiring entrepreneurs will compete in teams to invent and design an actual product and make a two minute "crowdfunding" video. Each student will negotiate for a job on the team and then collaborate to invent a new product, along with pricing model, and a sales, marketing and distribution plan which they will present and defend. Students will learn and practice business and entrepreneurial skills including design thinking, teamwork, leadership, collaboration, problem solving, idea conceptualization and public speaking. Entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley will lead the workshop using a unique learning model developed by business leaders at General Electric, called. "Learn-Do-Check-Act."

Teams will compete to be judged best product design and crowdfunding video. The winning team upon meeting the eligibility requirements, set our at the beginning of the workshop, will receive $1,000.00 in matching funds from the founders of BizSmart Global, Mike and Peggy Gibbs.
