Try out a major or career field, pump up your college applications and get a taste of college life! Champlain College's pre-college programs are built around a series of hands-on learning experiences, using state-of-the-art facilities and working closely with industry-experienced professors. This is a perfect chance to try out a certain major and decide whether it is right for you. It also improves your chances of being accepted into the college of your choice, since Admissions staff will recognize completion of a pre-college program as a significant academic accomplishment and a sign of a motivated learner.

Yes, you will develop new skills and learn a great deal about your chosen career field during your pre-college experience. But it's not all work and no play: what most students remember just as much is the fun they have hanging out with an awesome group of people who are interested in the same things that they are. Students create their own vibrant community and for many, this is a rare opportunity to gather with a group of peers who are into the same things they are.

Students stay in one of Champlain's many contemporary or Victorian-era residence halls and meals are served in the spectacular IDX Dining Hall, overlooking Lake Champlain. When not attending class or doing creative project work, students enjoy recreational and social activities and get to experience the best of summer in Vermont. Some parents even decide to use the trip to Burlington as the start of a memorable summer vacation, even incorporating a trip to nearby Montreal into their visit.

Program options for Summer 2015 include the Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity Academy, the IT & Digital Media Governor's Institute of Vermont, and an Art & Design Portfolio-building Course. Click on the Sessions tab above for more details!
