    This is the perfect specialty for active campers who enjoy the sillier side of sports and just want to have a blast trying new things! Each day, campers will participate in a variety of active and enjoyable games and activities. All a little different from what campers might expect. They learn the fine art of stealing bases during slip 'n' slide baseball, challenge their balance with a log roll, become a hero when they capture the flag, and much more. Our Wacky Sports coaches inspire good sportsmanship, character building and creativity as campers revel in the fun of learning new skills, making new friends and having a blast!

Campers use mood boards, sketches, patterns and more to design their own clothing lines and bring their visions to life. Then, Pali's fashionistas strut their stuff and debut their designs on the catwalk at the popular Pali Showcase!

    It's time to wander into the great blue yonder! In Pali's aviation specialty, campers learn the basics of aviation with hands-on activities. Campers develop an understanding of aerodynamics then build and launch a rocket. They handle our quadrotor drones for a birdseye view of Pali. With our VR flight simulator, campers practice takeoffs and landings under different conditions. Campers exercise problem-solving and critical thinking skills all week. The capper of the week? A real flight above the beautiful San Bernardino mountains with a qualified pilot-instructor!

    French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts

    French Woods offers programs in dance, theater, music, circus, magic, visual arts, sports, and horseback riding.     Hollywood Stunts is a thrilling exercise in overcoming fears! Campers learn how to do stunts from experienced instructors and discover what it's like to be a world-class action hero. Swords, combat, falls and choreography are part of the mix. Safety first! Experienced instructors provide personalized coaching and close supervision for all stunts. Behind the scenes, campers use professional grade props, mats and safety equipment.     We provide a safe, engaging and meaningful camp experience with enriching activities, fitness fun, social and emotional learning, and much more. Your child will enjoy a variety of activities every day with friends and peers, exploring math, science, reading, writing, arts, sports, nature and outdoor environment, and global diversity. Our camp curriculum is structured to promote teamwork, enhance self-esteem and build skills while incorporating the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality. Our camp program features an array of traditional, sports, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), and leadership camps. Join us for one or more weeks or all summer long. Full-day, half-day and extended day programs are available for campers ages 3-15. We offer programs in Garwood and Westfield. Financial assistance is available for Y memberships and programs. Our staff receive over 20 hours of pre-camp training including certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid with EpiPen administration, asthma inhaler training, anti-bullying prevention, behavior management, child abuse awareness and much more. We also have a full time first responder on staff for summer camp. We will comply with all CDC and Health Department guidelines to ensure the safety of your child at camp, including all COVID 19 guidelines which may be in place.     Summer at St. Michael's / Theatre at St. Michael's

    Welcome to St. Michael's Summer Camps! We have two branches of camps, both located on the scenic campus of St. Michael's Country Day School, in historic Newport, Rhode Island. Campers will enjoy our beautiful seven-acre seaside campus overlooking one of Newport's famous beaches, and have complete access to the school's facilities, including classrooms, a new library, large art studios, state-of-the-art science labs, a fully equipped theatre, a computer lab, playgrounds and playing fields. In addition, we have a beautiful outdoor swimming pool on the grounds, and all campers get swim time as a refreshing break at the end of a productive day in the theatre. A certified lifeguard is on duty at all times. St. Michael's Summer Fun Camp - Summer fun for ages 3 - 14, choose from seven- week long sessions beginning June 26th including Sports, weekly themed Adventure Camps (3 - 5 yrs and 6- 12 yrs) and Enrichment Camps with themes like Chess, Lego Robotics, Creative Movement, Math Madness, and much more... Campers get daily dips in the pool. Adventure programs include crafts and story time, all with professional caring instructors and enthusiastic assistants. Half and full day programs available. Theatre at St. Michael's Camp - We invite young performing artists to come together with our talented staff for an amazing summer of theatre! TASM uses each individual's talents to create, rehearse, and produce a unique theatrical event. These events include an original movie screened at the Jane Pickens Theater, an original musical written by the campers and given a world-premiere performance, and a pair of Shakespearean plays. Campers are involved in all aspects of the production, both onstage and off, developing existing theatre talents (although no previous experience is necessary), learning new skills, and making lifelong friends along the way. Our sessions this summer include the Original Movie Production (June 26 - July 7), Original Musical Production (July 10 - July 29) and Shakespeare Camp "As You Like It" (July 31 - August 12), all for ages 9-15, as well as our Teen Shakespeare Intensive "King Lear" (July 3 - 15), for ages 14-18. TASM also offers a popular tech program for those young thespians who would rather be behind the scenes - they will learn proper use of tools and equipment so they can help with the design and creation of the set, props, costumes, and also run sound, lights, and special effects during rehearsals and performances. All sessions are led and directed by theatre professionals, and the end-of-session productions are invariably well-attended smash hits. Cost varies by session, and financial aid is available.
