    Randolph-Macon Academy Summer Programs

    Randolph-Macon Academy will offer two online programs this summer, as well as a hybrid flight program! For middle school students (rising 5th-8th graders), there is a Virtual Learning Camp that will engage students' creativity and innovation for three hours each morning. The Virtual Learning Camp runs July 6-17. For high school students (rising 9th-12th graders), R-MA is providing online summer high school classes for new and repeat credit in a dozen different subjects. As part of the new complex, the courts, which sit on five acres, includes ten playing courts with four courts lighted at night, stadium seating, a restroom facility, a gazebo and benches.     Located just outside of Richmond, VA, Randolph-Macon College is a beautiful location with multiple fields for our camps use. Join us at that beautiful Virginia campus for high-level softball clinics! Camp is open for all abilities and ages 7-17.Check In: All Campers will check in from 8:45am-9am Monday through Thursday.Check Out: All Campers will check out at 3:00pm Monday-Thursday.*Lunch NOT included. The Virginia session of The Goalie School are held on the beautiful Roanoke College campus in Salem, VA. This camp is easily accessible to goalies from Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland and Tennessee. Quite simply, "the best goalie camp in all of lacrosse." Extensive Video tapping, talks from All American Goalies, and attention to detail separate this camp from the rest! They usually take place in the summer, and they can feature a range of activities, from hiking and swimming to rock wall climbing and competitions. Choosing which overnight summer camp is best for your child depends on a number of factors, such as maturity levels, personal interests, age and ability.

      Highlights: Some camps have specialties that focus on a particular academic area, such as math or computers, while another may focus on the performing arts, for example. Other overnight camps offer a traditional camp setting, with a variety of campfire games, sports and water activities to try out.

      Counselor Certifications: Depending on the type of overnight summer camp, each counselor should have the proper licensing and certifications to work with children. They should be fully background checked, plus have plenty of experience in their field. Some are volunteers, usually college age kids, who help out the instructors with activities and games.

      What to Ask the Camp Counselor: What if I have to cancel for any reason? You may be able to get your money back, less the deposit, if you cancel far enough in advance. If you wait till the last minute, though, you may only get a credit towards a future camp.
