Nestled peacefully in the grandfathers of the Catskills are eighty rolling
acres of a magical summer experience. A specialized faculty of educational
professionals supervise all activities. In addition to recreation, academics,
fine arts and sports, the schedule is filled with interesting workshops
on forestry, backpacking, wilderness survival, frontier construction,
first aid, and cooking, as well as peer counseling and creative writing.
Credited academic courses are available under the auspices of Bay Ridge
Preparatory School in New York City. The atmosphere is warm, positive,
and professionally structured so that campers can achieve their potential
and go home with fond memories. Come visit Universal Camping!!
This unique program has been hailed by many children and parents alike
as an outstanding experience. Campers who have come for a trial
week have all stayed for the duration. That's right! The program has a
100% retention rate. That is why we are so willing to allow children to
attend for only a week to introduce them to the camp.
The magic that the campers feel is not in the specific activities or
even in the accomplishments, but more in the wonderful bond established
among campers and staff. The incredible team building approach
combined with an atmosphere of caring and kindness, produce happier children
who are motivated to return home with an enriched appreciation of life.
The staff are well trained professionals (School administrators,
licensed teachers, school psychologists, accomplished athletes and coaches,
artists, dramatists, musicians, health professionals, and safety experts)
who bring a great deal of experience and knowledge of camping and related
fields to the program.
