Acting Manitou is located at a beautiful camp site in Oakland, Maine. Campers have beautiful bunks, dining pavilion, two theater spaces, multiple rehearsal rooms, creative center, and pool. Both sessions culminate in full scale productions of play or musicals at either our outdoor amphitheater or indoor thrust stage.
Daily activities include rehearsals and intensive drama workshops on advanced and fundamental acting, voice and body, dance, musical theater, directing, playwriting, comedy improvisation, audition technique and stage combat. Betsey Cox is a girl 's camp with a brother camp next door, combining the best of single-gender and co-ed camps. At Betsey Cox and Sangamon, the entire program is elective. Each camper creates a personal schedule each day from 15 activities and trips. Imagination, action, independence, and self-discovery are the focus of every day. In our animation camps kids will start with brainstorming, storyboarding, and then creating their characters and backgrounds. Then they get to film their movies and record voice overs for their characters! We have various animation camps ranging from Lego Animation, to Clay Animation, and many more. Our live action filmmaking camps start with brainstorming and storyboarding as well before we do location scouting and figure out props and costumes. Then the kids get to shoot and star in their own movies!

Northern California's premiere sleepaway circus/performing arts camp. Founded by Wavy Gravy, Camp Winnarainbow is 3 hours from San Francisco in beautiful Mendocino County.
