TV camp allows children to explore a variety of digital storytelling mediums pertaining to television. Through activities lighting, shooting, audio, editing, and post and pre production, kids can learn how to make TV come to life. Instructors show them what goes on behind the scenes, and even help them come up with their own concept from start to finish. Using the latest in technology, kids can create things like animated shorts through state of the art software. Many times, lunch is provided for day camps, and all meals are provided for overnight camps.

Highlights: Kids can sign up for special classes like live broadcasting or podcasting to create something all their own.

What to Ask the Camp Director: Will I get a refund if I have to cancel the television camp for any reason? You will find that most TV camps will issue a refund if canceled within a few weeks of the start date. If canceled within a few days of the camp, some camps will offer a credit toward another session.

Counselor Certifications: Instructors should have plenty of experience in their chosen field. Many are current television producers or assistants that can help kids learn the basics and even more advanced concepts. They should be background checked and boast the proper licensing and certifications.
