Camp Greenbrier for Boys

Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier for Boys is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the Greenbrier River in Alderson, West Virginia. It is a wonderful, safe place where campers have fun and make lifelong friends. Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program while those who are 16 to 18, or who have finished the 10th grade, participate in the Leadership Academy. Greenbrier has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations. And the camper to counselor ratio is 3 to 1.

If your child likes participating in a wide variety of activities that span from everyday sports to thrilling, action packed extreme sports, then a summer adventure camp may be just the thing for them. Adventure camps vary from camp to camp, but they can include sports such as swimming and hiking all the way to rock climbing and bungee jumping. The sport programs at these summer adventure camps are often complimented by more calm pursuits such as arts and crafts or self esteem building activities. These camps are often one week and may or may not be coed. There is no end to the excitement that campers face at adventure camp.

Levels of Expertise: Campers at adventure camp don't need any prior experience with any of the activities offered.

Learning Skills: Campers will be introduced to a wide variety of different sports and activities. Some sports or activities will be overseen by accredited instructors who will ensure that the proper skills are learned.

Equipment to Bring: Most often the camp will provide whatever equipment is necessary, but if you're attending a camp that offers a sport for which you already have equipment, then you can usually bring it with you.
