New York Film Academy Acting for Film in South Beach

Acting for Film Camps in Summer 2021 will not be held in South Beach, FL. Acting for Film Camps will be available in the following locations:

Acting for Film Camps for Teens: Online and in New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Gold Coast, Australia; Florence, Italy; Paris, France

Acting for Film Camps for Kids: Online and in New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Gold Coast, Australia

There will be no housing or transportation available for any campus. Parents and students will be responsible for travel and their own hotel accommodations (please also note that minors in the US (under the age of 18) cannot check into hotels without a parent or guardian physically present).

Acting camp students will learn: how to adjust performance in accordance with the type of shot the director chooses, how to shoot out of sequential sequence, and how to function with focus and relaxation in the midst of the chaos of a film set. The comprehensive curriculum applies the vital areas for studying the acting craft.

The Film and Television industry in Miami has experienced a terrific growth recently, making Miami one of the largest production centers in the United States. The Miami-Dade Office of Film, Print and Television encourages local productions and supplies the industry with no-cost location scouting and permits. This will be a great benefit to Film Academy students. Films such as Casino Royale, Miami Vice and There???s Something About Mary were shot in Miami, as well as a plethora of television commercials and music videos. Throw in the annual Miami International Film Festival, the countless Playhouses and Performing Arts Centers, and it is easy to see why Miami is rapidly becoming a mecca for the arts and the ideal location for the study of filmmaking and acting.
