All levels of ice skaters, from basic to pre-professional, are welcome at ice skating camp. Usually ice skating camps are held a few days a week, but there are some available every day as well. These camps will often combine various types of skating like synchronized skating, hockey skating, free skate and basic figure skating. The main focus of the program depends on the specific camp that you choose. Occasionally, figure skating camps will have different themes for each session, or even include field trips and professional demonstrations. To increase technique and fluidity on the ice, and further develop coordination and proper physical condition, ice skating camp is a solid choice.
Learning Skills: Synchronized ice skating can help build teamwork skills as well as trust, while individual figure skating promotes confidence and boosts self esteem. Your child will improve his or her strength and fitness while learning new techniques and information about ice skating gear. A little history on skating is also typically taught during this camp.
